Vaporizable CBD: What Is It? Where Does It Come From? Can I Benefit From Using It?

CBD Flower & Extract Use Is On The Rise. Find Out Why!

Since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill the hemp industry has grown exponentially every year!

When making the decision to incorporate something like CBD in your life it is important that you take all the facts into consideration. By finding out what the pros and cons are when smoking, or vaporizing CBD, and exactly what kind of effects you can expect if you decide to do so, you can make an informed decision on whether it is a good fit for you.

Although it has been two full years since the 2018 Farm Bill passed, it seems as if this new hemp fueled CBD market just popped up overnight. One day, CBD infused products like vape carts, tinctures, and edible candy could be found at almost every gas station in the neighborhood. There are also many online vendors that offer great deals on products shipped directly to you.

Keep in mind that there is very little regulation or oversight in the CBD market, as these products are marked as supplements. The FDA does police the industry to make sure that companies are not making claims as to specific actions that can be expected from the use of CBD (ex. Cures cancer!). Since you are going through the trouble of searching for healthy, holistic ways to heal your body, it is important that you know what you are putting into it! One thing that has been introduced to give consumers more clarity, and prevent counterfeiting, are QR codes found on the outside of the packaging. When scanned, these codes will take you to a website that lists the chemical composition of the product in your hands.

Where Did This Flood Of CBD Products Come From??

As a quick refresher, the most significant change made by the 2018 Farm Bill was the removal of hemp from the definition of marijuana, as stated in the Controlled Substances Act. It really can't be overstated just how important of a step this was for the development and advancement of the cannabis industry in America.

In addition to taking the oversight of hemp and hemp derived products away from the DEA, the 2018 farm bill also legalized CBD infused products with the one rule that CBD may not be used as an additive to food or labeled as a dietary supplement. The FDA now regulated CBD and other hemp-derived products under the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act.

Currently valued around $5 billion, experts at the Brightfield group are predicting the U.S. hemp market to be worth more than $23 billion by 2023.
